Sadie is currently writing her first opera 'The Vourdalak'. Set in eastern Europe in 1769 a French marquis meets a family as their father is due to return. The father returns too late and the marquis is powerless to stop the ensuing misfortune.
Sadie is also in the process of adapting selections from Ariosto's Orlando Furioso. Focusing on the female characters and exploring how they navigate a world that was not built for them. This work will include art songs about Angelica, Fiordispina and Bradamante.
Angelica the Strong was performed this June at the Longy School of Music as part of the Divergent Studio.

Trans Day of Visibility
Sadie gave a presentation at the Univeristy of Utah's Transgender day of visibility event. This presentation was on her upcoming piece Fiordispina Innamorato, inspired by Canto XXV from Ariosto's Orlando and on the inherently queer and gender bending story of Fiordispina and Bradamante.
